Modern technology just gets better and better, now opening up new opportunities for communication and doing business remotely. The success of discussions with foreign partners can have a huge impact on a company's reputation. But this is when you most need to overcome language barriers and avoid any misunderstandings. For this you need professional and skilled linguistic support.

With the expansion of foreign economic and political relations, professional translators are becoming increasingly in demand. There is a growing need to produce competent translations of documents, and interpreting whether simultaneous or consecutive. Today, to advance in the market and improve its brand, a company’s advertising and marketing materials, brochures, videos, even entire sites, must be translated properly into the target market language or languages.  And then a simple translation is just not enough. Translated material demands adaptation of the information transferred to the cultural context of a given country.

Simultaneous interpreting is now widely used during conferences, seminars, congresses, and business meetings. Kyiv is the centre of political and economic activities, and in the capital alone, more than 300 agencies offer simultaneous translation services. But only the largest companies, such as "Trys", "Konkord Centre" and"ProfPerevod" are long-established in the market of translation services, and where you can ensure holding simultaneous translation events at a high level.

No scientific symposium, no economic or political conference can take place without the involvement of interpreters. And the words themselves of interpreters can determine whether the event will be a success. Wrong or inaccurate translation can cost a company's reputation, resulting in significant financial losses, and in the case of a country, even its prestige.

What is Simultaneous Interpreting?

Simultaneous interpreting is the process of providing translation of the speech without delay, i.e. virtually at the moment of speaking. We say ‘virtually’ because an interpreter still needs a second or two of lag time to come up with an appropriate translation.

Every language has its unique features, which often cause translation problems. To solve them, one needs impeccable command of language and years of experience. Only a translator of the highest professional level can convey the meaning while preserving the traits of the source.

Every trade has its own codeofconduct, rulesandethics. For interpreters, business ethics includes interaction with their clients, other participants of the process and colleagues. Ethical norms in this area are designed to build up the reputation of an interpreter and rely on three main principles: delicacy, responsibility and confidentiality.
