Translating text documents – standard, business, financial, technical, legal, medical, as well as translations of websites and computer games. These are all complex and responsible processes. Conformity of the translation to the original; unambiguously conveying its meaning; and faithfully reproducing its format are all quintessentially important for both corporations and private individuals. The majority of cases present no leeway for variations in meaning – the slightest error or inaccuracy can have huge financial or legal implications, or other serious consequences.

Translations of literature (artistic works of prose or poetry; scientific; popular works; textbooks, cinema or tv scripts; computer games). Such translations involve conveying the atmosphere, unique meaning, emotions and images of the characters so that audiences perceive them exactly as the author intended. Such translations allow for interpretation, rather than word-for-word reproduction of the source material – the translation must truly reflect the spirit, meaning, and depth of the work. The text is processed in multiple stages – study and analysis; identifying the terms and the logical sections;and finally step-by-step translation.

To ensure that the final translation entirely meets, or even exceeds your expectations, we take care to ascertain all the information about the intended use of the translation. This can affect aspects such as the vocabulary, grammar, register, style, and so forth. In particular we are concerned with:
  • the presence (or absence) of equivalent terminology
  • structural linguistic differences
  • industry style, and the level of closeness between systems and languages
  • the direct and indirect effect the translated text should have
  • relevance and other aspects
To translate your text, we call upon expert linguists:
  • with a solid grasp of the linguistic style
  • who are competent and fluent in the industry norms in both the original and target languages
  • who will seek out the concepts presented in the source language and render them in the target language, if an equivalent term is not readily available
  • who are fully familiar with the terminology in the text
  • who can interpret the original text and give its meaning in the target language, even in cases where no exact translation exists
  • who realize the importance of fine detail in industry discussions, and allow for this in their translation
  • who can create the same effect in the translated text as the original material intended to produce
