Case Study: Editing and Designing the Manual

Literary editing is much more than simply proofreading. It’s a distinct type of linguistic service that implies improving the document’s structure, style, coherence, and clarity while preserving the original tone.

One of our clients reached out to us with the request to edit the Ukrainian text and prepare the design for a manual for trainers on gender-oriented governance.

Correspondingly, our role included not only providing literary editing but also cooperating with a designer and managing all involved professionals to deliver the project on time.

The major challenge for us was how to manage tough timelines and coordinate several vendors without any delays.

We effectively addressed the client’s inquiry and went an extra mile, giving them additional value by

  • Delivering a comprehensive service with the edited manual ready for publishing;
  • Taking the burden of multi-supplier communication off the client’s shoulders;
  • Reducing the project duration as our linguists worked simultaneously.

In a nutshell, this is what all our clients get and what we are particularly proud of giving them – a flawlessly accurate translation or literary editing and a complete package of associated services.

In one of my previous posts, I emphasized the importance of a comprehensive approach. This is an illustrative example of the value it can bring.
