How KLS finds its translators
Clients are our top asset. We value and cherish them by delivering high-level translation, interpretation, and other services performed by true professionals who have honed their craft.
However, such people are not easy to find as they are exquisite talents. Let me show you how we do that, using the example of hiring translators.
We use every channel to find them by placing job ads, scanning resumes and seeking referrals from partner translators.
We thoroughly check the background and qualifications of translators wishing to work with us. Then, they would perform a test translation, either a general one or on a specific topic (legal, financial, technical, healthcare, etc.). Candidates claim our tests are challenging; however, they allow us to both determine language proficiency and detect possible machine translation misuse. A poorly written test means no chance to work with KSL.
Nonetheless, a successful test is not the finish line. The translator would then perform tasks that are not too sophisticated under the guidance of an experienced editor who provides feedback. Our managers help them to cope with technical issues, including CAT tools.
When a translator starts working for KLS, they must overcome the key barrier, which is the deadlines. Under time pressure, an unscrupulous translator would either blow the deadline or concoct a low-quality product in a slipshod fashion. We say goodbye to such people immediately and forever.
However, should the translator successfully complete the first projects they will have great chances of growing together with our wonderful company, master their skills and enhance knowledge, under the excellent care of our staff and editors.
So, please do not hesitate to place your orders with KLS, as they will be performed by top-level linguists whom we rigorously select.
