Case Study: Simultaneous Interpretation for the Cultural Diplomacy Forum
The International Cultural Diplomacy Forum 2025 brought together representatives of the public sector, cultural institutions, civil society and international organisations for the sixth consecutive year. The event was organised by the Ukrainian Institute in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. It remains one of the key platforms for discussing the role of cultural diplomacy in the context of global transformations and the full-scale war.
This year, the KLS Translation Agency provided full linguistic and technical support for the event.

Technical solutions
Although online participants received instructions in advance on how to use Zoom with language channels, additional preparation proved necessary. Therefore, the KLS team conducted a test session simulating real-time interpretation, demonstrated switching between channels and checked settings across different devices.
Because the event started at 10:00, we agreed to launch the online broadcast early - at 09:10. This gave participants time to test their connection before the venue filled with offline guests and helped prevent technical delays.
Result
Simultaneous interpretation combined with stable technical support ensured a comfortable experience for all participants - both online and onsite. The KLS team delivered clear audio, responsive assistance and uninterrupted operation of the equipment throughout the event.
